Cousins rock!

My best memories from Lake George growing up are the ones spent with cousins. That's why I can't get enough of how cute Keeley and my niece, Madeleine, are together, and how much fun they have at the Lake.

Miss Independent

It was so much fun to see Keeley run off with whoever wanted to take her to the beach or the dock and know she was old enough to handle it and see me later. This gave me the necessary time to devote to Cora, who as another early walker found more places in the house imaginable to fall and bump her head. Of course, Keeley's two top choices for doing anything with are consistently Nanny and Papa.

Aunt Bri

My little sister Bri is Keeley's godmother and one of her favorite people in the world. There are so many times when I wish we could just drop by Rockville Center, where Brianne lives, and visit for a bit, but the 2 hour drive makes it tough. The best part about Lake George is we all get to be in one house in one place, with lots of chances for quality time. I love my Bri and Keels pictures from this trip.

Memorial Day in Lake George

The girls and I spent our first Memorial Day Weekend up at Hulett's Landing with the whole gang ( unfortunately Emmet had to work.) The weather was beautiful; it felt like we got an added extension of summer!

Keeley could not get enough of the ice cold water or the sand at "the beach." She was literally running around singing about how happy she was to be at Lake George for a majority of the vacation.

First boat ride of the season! Rare chance to hang out without the kiddos.

Patty and Doro's Farm

My Aunt Patty and her boyfriend Isidoro are both professors at a SUNY school about an hour from us. Knowing they only had about a month left at their little rental house on a beautiful farm, I had to get Keeley there to see the horses and indulge in her farm obsession that I love so much. We couldn't have picked a prettier day.

Getting big

There are so many moments lately when I look at the girls and can't believe how big they are getting.

I notice it when I'm literally stepping over them in the hallway.

I notice it when I have two kids who can hold themselves up on the swings.

I notice it when Keeley has her hair in a ponytail and paints completely on her own while I fold laundry.

I notice it when Cora stands up and cruises around the room, trying to catch Keeley and knock over whatever she is playing.

I notice it all the time, and it never ceases to amaze me how much they change from week to week. Feeling lucky to be a stay-at-home Mom and soak it all in.

The Walsh Boys

After missing Danielle all winter, we finally made it up to MA for her birthday. Keeley and Nolan were inseparable, as usual. I think she has her first crush :) Cora stayed home with Daddy so I could get some quality time with my adorable Godson, Jameson.

Hand Foot and Mouth Disease

Did I say we had a "quiet" Easter? That was until Cora broke out in a mysterious rash before dinner which we found out was from the virus Coxsakie, or Hand, Foot and Mouth Disease. Poor Cora had "the bumps," as Keeley called them, for 8 days.

THank God for Nanny who came to rescue me and entertain Keeley while I kept Cora indoors and out of her misery.

Easter 2014

Easter was quiet, spent here in Bethel, since we had just been down on Long Island the week before. Keeley was sold that the Easter bunny came and brought her a broom and a basket. I made mud tracks up to the pantry closet, which both fascinated and scared her. We stopped by the Danbury Fitz's to see Shae, Gavin and Nolan before they headed back to Boston.
