Got up to 85 degrees yesterday and Keeley was loving life in the baby pool. Emmet and I were in heaven enjoying the start of his 4 week vacation before residency orientation in our shaded yard with our baby girl splashing away.

Memorial Day Weekend
Emmet and I snuck up to Boston for two nights while Katherine, Rosalie and Tom took over at the homestead. We ended the weekend with a Ferriter-Moore BBQ, joined by Conor and Caroline on their way home from Cape Cod. After days of hard work on the patio and the backyard, I was so happy Emmet was able to have a few beers and enjoy his family in our new and improved setting.

Mother's Day in Holyoke
We had a lovely visit with Nana Mengel and the Ferriter's over Mother's Day (the highlight for Keeley being Spanish mass in downtown Holyoke complete with live musicians and beautiful songs). Oh, and of course, the big yummy brunch at the Yankee Peddler of pancakes and sausage!

Bronx Zoo
We met up with my parents and the Gleasons at the Bronx Zoo- couldn't have asked for a more beautiful and fun day! Naturally, Emmet had to hit up Arthur Avenue for some Italian food before the zoo opened and it was delicious- we took Keels to some of the best deli and pastry shops in NYC. Ended the day with a family dinner at the Irish Coffee Pub on Long Island to toast Emmet's graduation from medical school.

Spring collage
This spring it seemed like Keeley grew up overnight- talking up a storm, learning colors, numbers and letters and understanding more than we ever imagined. Here's a little collection of memories of what Keeley was into back in 2013.
TThe "river," ie: stream behind our house- she cannot get enough of throwing rocks into it
Taking care of her baby (let's hope this keeps up for baby sister's arrival)
Snacking and grazing
Being "outside," so exciting that the weather is getting warmer
Sitting on the stoop with her stuffed animals (bunnies are still top choice)
Spaghetti and meatballs!
Doing things by herself ("self")
OObsessed with her sunglasses- she thinks they're for reading like "Nanny and Papa"TThe "river," ie: stream behind our house- she cannot get enough of throwing rocks into it
The Elmo stroller from my Mom's neighbor, Mrs. Kroebel
Watering the plants
Picnics and Tea parties with Mommy
More throwing rocks into the river
Car rides listening to "The Wheels on the Bus" and "Jack Be Nimble"
Farms, barns and "moo cows" ( this is Ferris Acres in Newtown which she loves)

Bri's 28th Birthday
Keeley and I took a trip down to West Babylon to celebrate Brianne's birthday, enjoying a beautiful sunny day with the family. Keeley was in the garden all afternoon with Nanny and had her first cupcake with Cool Whip!

Good Times with Lizzy!
Emmet's sister Liz came in on business to NYC this past weekend, and took the train up to Bethel to visit us! We LOVED having her in CT! Keeley was in her glory going on hikes and showing off her home to her new buddy.
Checking out the horses at Huntington Park
Keels, Lizzy and Daddy on the trail
Looking for airplanes and birds over the lake
The ladies :)
Bridge onto Saugutuck Falls hike
Keeley going through Aunt Lizzy's purse- pure joy
