Keeley is Baptized

The day after Thanksgiving, we had the baby's Baptism at Holy Name Parish in Springfield, MA. Emmet's Uncle Mark, who baptized Emmet 29 years ago, opened his church for us and held a beautiful, intimate Christening for our Keeley Rose.

Mom, Dad, Kerin, Sean and Bri drove up from New York and celebrated with all of the Mengels and Ferriters. Mark's rectory provided the perfect venue for the after party, which was thrown by Rosalie and Tom- a wonderful time was shared by all.

First Thanksgiving

After a month of worrying how Keeley would do in her car seat on the drive to MA, she wound up sleeping the entire trip- if we had only known! Emmet and I did not utter a peep on the way up trying not to wake her. Thanksgiving was bountiful with blessings as always- we did the rounds, stopping at Mark's rectory, Allison and Paul's, and finally, Grandma and Grandpa Ferriters. Keeley was so worn out after a day of socializing that she did her first 5 hour stretch of sleep that night. Now that's something to be thankful for... :)

Nana RoRo and Big Papi

Rosalie and Tom made their way out to West Babylon to have their quiet time with Keeley before Thanksgiving weekend up in Massachusetts. New York pizza and bagels and a new grandbaby- life doesn't get much better than that!

Meet and Greet

Mom, Kerin and Bri threw me a beautiful "Meet and Greet" party in order to welcome Keeley Rose to the NY area. Our party girl enjoyed every minute being held by friends and family alike. I could not get over the outpouring of gifts and especially books that Keeley will have for her library for the rest of her life.

Hometown Moms

Danielle and Kim came by Saturday to meet Keeley and we found out that Danielle's son Nolan(5 m old) was awfully fond of our little girl. Good thing Emmet wasn't home to see her flirting with her first boyfriend :)

Aunt Katherine comes to Long Island

Katherine took the Long Island Railroad out this weekend to come meet Keeley! We had such a fun time and Keeley loved taking a nice nap with her Auntie. She also got to have some cake with her big brother in honor of his 29th birthday! First birthday cake blow out with a baby in his arms :)
