Ladies weekend with the Ferriters

This past weekend, Emmet's Mom, sister Katherine and Aunt Mary came down for a visit in Miami for some fun and sun. As always, Emmet had picked out some wonderful places in the area to show off and we all had a blast enjoying all the area has to offer. The Grove Isle Resort and Spa provided the perfect home base in Coconut Grove 20 minutes away where the girls could enjoy swimming, playing tennis or getting a nice massage when they felt like it.

Once again amazed at our family's generosity, I was showered with beautiful gifts and treats for our little girl when the ladies surprised me at our apartment Friday evening. I still don't know how they traveled with all these goodies but we're so grateful! The baby thanked them with some strong kicks and squirms over the weekend for the fam to see and feel.

Kerin and Sean down for a visit

This past week Kerin and Sean added Miami to their busy summer of activities making me one of the happiest girls in Miami! Thanks to our friends Kyle and Taylor who were away in Texas for vacation, Kerin and Sean even had their own suite upstairs in our building. I think our little one was equally as excited for our guests as she gave Aunt Kerin some pretty crazy aerobics to feel on my belly. It meant so much to have my big sister and bro-in-law here as Emmet began his all day intensive study sessions this week. Here are some pics from their stay.

Holy Cross girls in Miami

When my college bud, Becca, called me to ask if she could come down to visit- I was pumped! Nothing I love more than quality time with old friends. Then before I knew it we had all the roommates getting flights to MIA for a weekend getaway. I guess that's the best things about college friends- they'll never turn down a cocktail, a free place to stay, or a designated driver!

Here's to you, Love

Today Emmet took his final to complete yet another semester of medical school at Ross University. Although it has been an unpredictable semester, schedule wise for him, he learned so much from his rotations both in Family Medicine up in Fort Lauderdale and in Urology in Pembroke Pines.

For those of you who are lovingly trying to follow our plan of attack in this medical school journey, this semester sums up his Intro to Clinical Rotations segment here in Miami and now it's on to 6 weeks of independent study for the STEP or US Medical Liscensing Exam. Some students go back to their hometowns to study, but we will camp out here as I get large and ready for Baby F. He will take the STEP on September 15th and I will try to hold the baby in until it's over :) After that it's a first clinical rotation here in Miami for Emmet so our little girl can grow a bit before the big move up north and then the rest of clinical rotations in NYC for 2 years. Had to post a picture of my handsome man with 2 years of medical school behind him, living the dream and kicking butt at it.
