Cora turns 1 at Lake George!

What better place to celebrate your birthday every year than at Lake George with all the Gormans?! And that's just what we did! A few balloons and a collage of Cora throughout her first year were hung in the pavilion at the beach and the guest of honor enjoyed her first cupcake with her favorite people by her side. Top it off with a nice swim with her Mommy and Daddy and some presents to open out on Nanny and Papa's porch and that's a happy little birthday baby. Simple, beautiful and fun!

Strawberry Picking

Emmet and I found a perfect little place called Jones Farm down in Monroe to go strawberry picking with the girls. It was really perfect for small children, with a quick tractor ride included and a field within sight where they could get the full experience without too much manual labor. The strawberries were DELICIOUS!

Ferriter Reunion in Norfolk, CT

Happy 65th Wedding Anniversary to Grandpa and Grandma Ferriter! Thanks to Mary, a fantastic weekend was planned on a private estate up in northwest CT to reunite all of the children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren in their honor. As always, lots of fun and laughter ensued.

Hike on Haystack Mountain

We got the girls out of the house in Norfolk so they wouldn't wake everyone up and we headed up Haystack Mountain. Nothing like some summer views of the rolling hills of Connecticut and a quiet morning walk with the family- there are some benefits to getting up at the crack up dawn!

Lunch in Kent with the Ferriters

We stopped in Kent for a bite to eat and a stretch of the legs with Rosalie, Conor, and Katherine on the way to Norfolk, a perfect little New England feel for the now" out of staters."
