January 2013 brought a few big first for Keels.
Keeley is extremely excited about brushing her teeth. Since
all of her teeth seemed to come pushing through in the Christmas
season, I got her an Elmo toothbrush and some Dora the Explorer
toothpaste for this year. She gets to climb up on her stool and dip it
in the water like a big girl, which she can't get enough of.
First Stomach Bug:
When
we arrived back to Bethel, Keeley got walloped by the nastiest one week
stomach virus I have seen in a while. My poor girl couldn't keep anything down - one end or the other... well it was a messy couple of days. We got to a point where for hydration, we had to be on syringes of Pedialyte every ten minutes to avoid a hospital IV. Tough stuff. Thank God for my Mom, who came up to help me out and be with Keeley as I cleaned our house from top to bottom and got her back to her old self.
And of course there are the recent toddler obsessions this past month that make me laugh:
1) The moon. Everyday, from wake-up until bedtime, Keeley can be found periodically running to the couch to peer out the window and say "a moon?" "a moon?" because she is obsessed with it. When she does find it, it is pure joy. Emmet says she is a werewolf.
2) Her dolls. This has been going on for a while with her bunnies, but now has extended to her babies and any other stuffed animal she can get her hands on. She loves to put them on the doormat and sit among them, happy as can be.
